A.M.I / Wyotech

Good to see Kurt Heinrich still teaching at Wyotech in Daytona.  When I went there in 2004 it was known as A.M.I.  It was a beat up old hotel that the owner had let fall into horrible disrepair.  In that  same year it was bought by Wyotech.   With in a year the campus had moved into a new beautiful building.  I went through the Harley program and learned alot from Kurt.  The man knows his Harley's!  He has a 69 900 stroker sportster that will eat any big twin! The funny thing was I was riding a Triumph and till this day I wrench on more Triumphs then Harleys.

  3. I graduated the basic and Harley courses there in August 1984. Kurt was really, really good. I sent him whatever Harley Service Bulletins I got for several years after. He asked us when we graduated to send him any factory literature we could if we worked in a dealership.....so I did. Apparently the Motor Company had turned their back on AMI. I went to work for Zippers in 1990 and the game changed for me.

  4. I knew him in 1989 when I went to AMI. We became best friends. Is there any way to contact him to say Hi?

  5. I graduated in 09, Kurts engine class was my favorite. Very disappointed they've closed down. I didnt find a job in the field, until i had started another career and could afford the paycut. Would love to wrench on bike full time. Instead, i'll just continue working on my own stuff.
